It felt good being home this week! Thursday Night we had our annual stage dual, losing a very close dual to Columbus 36-31. Friday our Varsity and JV competed at the Fairgrounds at the UNK Midwest Duals. Our varsity went 4-1, finishing in 3rd place, while our JV went 2-3 on the day. There were many great individual performances and both teams were very competitive.
Week 7 Wrestlers of the Week:
Varsity Wrestler of the Week - Tavean Miller had a great week, finishing the weekend off with a 5-0 record. Tavean had two big swing matches in both Columbus duals, winning a tough overtime match in our final dual of the day Friday, that sealed our victory over Columbus
JV Wrestler of the Week - Jack Sponenburgh had a great weekend, going 4-1 with his only loss to a top-ranked wrestler in Class A. Two of Jack’s four wins this weekend were by fall.
