Kearney Wrestling had a good week of performances this past week, with varsity losing vs Lincoln East on Thursday 18-50, while winning the Gator Invite at Lincoln Northstar on Friday. Our JV won their dual against Lincoln East on Thursday, while our Kearney Gold’s finished 2nd at the very competitive Franklin Invite on Saturday!

Week 5 Wrestlers of the Week:
Varsity Wrestler of the Week - Kaedun Goodman and Ethan Kowalek are our co-wrestlers of the week. Both were champions at the Gator Invite, bonusing their way through the tournament. Kaedun wrestled the returning state runner-up from East tough, losing the match. Ethan got a good decision win over Lincoln East on the stage.
JV Wrestler of the Week - Braxton Robinson went 3-0 with 3 falls, lasting a total of 1:08 seconds on the mat between the three. Braxton’s final pin was over the defending Class D state runner-up in :32 seconds.
Reserve Wrestler of the Week - Adrian Tinoco-Padilla had a great day at Gothenburg, going 2-0 while collecting two pins in the mean time.
